I am a 33 year old freelance artist who has a passion for good food & cooking.

So let me get the most important points of shopping & cooking to you!

First of all them most important this to me is the healthy side of a meal.

As a wife & a mother ,

and of course for myself -

I hardly use any white flour / or wheat products when I cook. I prefer whole wheat, rye or spelt.

To sweeten, I like to use unrefined cane sugar, honey or agave syrup.

I try not to buy anything, which contains food enhancers or other chemicals and flavorings.

I try to stay away from fast food products, and if I buy somethings pre-made, or canned, I take a good look at the Ingredients, so there I know, what I'm buying.

I mostly stay on the organic side when buying my groceries - which is not hard cause I live in an area which has great shopping opportunities of fruits & veggies of the season and which are grown here.

We have a very good butcher in our town, and they only sell best quality and they make their own sausages etc.

So again, I shop very aware of all the hidden chemical ingredients, where the products come from, are they seasonal, fresh and good for you.

The most important thing is, to keep all the meals you cook a week on track, so your food plan is diversified and healthy. Vary with fish, meat, veggies, fruit, whole wheat products and drink lot's of water, only lightly sweetened tea & get enough exercise, best outside - getting fresh air and sunshine!

This way, every now and then, especially on the weekend, you can spoil yourself, eat a dessert, ice cream, have some wine or eat & drink whatever you like!

There's even a healthy way of making a burger!
